A crucial element to any successful care plan is the participation of a qualified and caring nursing staff. ELIHO boasts numerous oncology certified nurses who are members of your team. They ensure advocacy and support as well as provide direct treatment. Our nurses are a phone call away and are available for questions and concerns between visits to the office.

Adult Nurse Practitioners
In spite of increased entry into direct patient care, some misconceptions still persist in regard to Nurse Practitioner's participation in specialty care... Our patients have told us that they feel their care is enhanced by the Nurse Practitioner aspect and we want to share some facts with you:

Experience, Credentials and Scope of Practice:

Adult Nurse Practitioners (ANPs) include registered professional nurses, with a current license to practice, who has obtained an advanced degree and is licensed by the State of New York. They act in collaboration with ELIHO physicians to deliver hematologic/oncologic care. They can perform examinations, write prescriptions, order tests, and oversee treatment plans. Our doctors and Nurse Practitioners work hand-in-hand to assure the very best quality and attention to patient needs.

Some comments from our patients include:

"They take so much time with you. I never feel rushed." and...

"I always feel as if I have had all my questions answered. They are so thorough and caring!"
